New higher technology reflector
that is tunable for beam width changes.
New wire harness
New higher efficiency 55 watt
ballast.
Dramatic increase in light output
This is a very simple upgrade to do.
First thing you need to do is to protect the Snickers bar. We have
had many reports of these bars mysteriously vanishing whenever wives or
brothers are near so guard it well. You might want to just go
ahead and eat it right away.
Next you need to decide if you want
maximize your range or your beam width. Don't worry you can always
change this later if you want.
If you are in a hangar turn on your
old light for one more look at how bad the light was. While it is
on go ahead and mark a spot on the wall where the beam is aimed at now
so you can aim your new light at the same point.
Remove
the left side of the cowling and remove the light "pocket."
The rest is simply removing the old guts and replacing them with the new
LoPresti X2 BoomBeam and reinstalling the cowl.
