will host another in their series of "First Saturday" events in
the LoPresti/Vero Beach Avionics hangar on the north ramp of the
Vero Beach Airport
on July 4th starting at 9 am.
LoPresti First Saturday is about connecting
aviation to modern America.
 As
a boy, Roy LoPresti hung around airports and airplanes every
chance he got. However, what was possible and even common 60
years ago, is neither today. Roy bemoaned the loss of innocence
and the lack of places for kids and pilots to meet.
So we opened "LeRoy's Cafe" as a place for pilots and the
community to "Hang Out". Later we added First Saturday to
formally bring the two together once a month with a full
breakfast, an interesting topic and a guest speaker. Any
proceeds we generate goes to a charity or a worthy cause. In
this way we get to give back to the community and provide a
place for pilots to gather. Best of all we get to do what Roy
wanted most...to share the dream of flight.

What does a dog have to do to get a little 4th of July
Breakfast? A Lot! 
Enjoy a delicious breakfast of eggs, bacon, pancakes,
muffins, fruit and more. It will be followed by Jill
Herrington of Skydive Sebastian speaking about what's new in
skydiving. We will announce a raffle prize of a thrilling Tandem
Jump (a $195 value) from Skydive Sebastian.
If you want to know about skydiving this is your chance to
find out all the in's, out's, up's and down's of this high
adventure sport. Jill, an expert "Sky Coach," will be
showing some awesome film footage of recent skydiving
jumps. Jill will demonstrate all of the required safety gear and
has great stories to tell about this thrilling sport.
From shooting movies, group jumps, to freeflying, Jill will
answer all of your questions.
Back in May, my son Mike (he is the video guy you see at our
events), turned 21. We took him out to Skydive Sebastian
for his first jump. It made for a birthday that the whole
family will remember.

LoPresti First Saturday is a perfect way to start your 4th of

Every First Saturday event there are great door prizes. In June,
attendees walked away with over $3,600 in prizes. You
never know what you might win.
The Charity
While everyone celebrates the 4th of July at the LoPresti
charity breakfast and watches Skydive Sebastian's thrilling
video, it's the Dogs for Life that really benefit. All the
donations go to this worthwhile program that trains assistance
dogs. Shelly Ferger, the Founder and Executive Director of Dogs
for Life of Vero Beach, is bringing her pal, Sabrina. She will
talk for a few minutes about what the organization does...Shelly
will do all the talking, Sabrina is just there to look cute and
help clean up any bacon crumbs that may fall off your plate!
 Dogs
for Life is a
unique, non-profit organization devoted to improving the quality
of life for people and dogs through training assistance, pet
therapy dogs, owning and operating an off-leash dog park.
Their
specialized programs prepare dogs to take their place in the
lives and hearts of children and adults. Whether it is through a
need for assistance, therapy, or companion dogs. Dogs for
Life provides a new beginning for healthy, adoptable dogs.
